Richard Marx: Stories to Tell
If I had to describe Richard Marx latest album in one sentence, I’d say that it’s a great summary of his work and career!
Stories To Tell (Special Asia Edition) is a sort of “best of” album with all acoustic versions of his biggest hits!
From the first notes of Endless Summer Nights right through to the final bonus track Through My Veins, you’ll notice that his voice is still strong, and as pure as it was on his first album.
There’s not a weak moment even with full band playing songs he wrote for others like This I Promise You originally recorded by N’sync
I first heard him on the radio back in 1989, and watching him perform live in Singapore for a private showcase in October just didn’t feel like more than 20 years have passed.
The songs have obviously survived the test of time and are sounding now better than ever.
I must say that Richard Marx nailed it again and that he goes right to the core of the songs.
So, I’m giving Richard Marx Stories To Tell (Special Asia Edition) 4 outta 5
